Clare County police expect more arrests after they stopped a car they say was part of a drug deal and found marijuana.
It happened Monday night in Clare. Police also found a large amount of marijuana and several hundred dollars in cash at a suspect's home.
Andrew Connor and Benjamin Zeitz, both from Clare, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Similar charges may be sought for two juveniles.
hey great idea thats the most smartest thing i have ever heard anyone say, stop the cocaine, herion, exstacy, and meth shut it down because im sorry to say people of the united states government and police members no matter how hard you try and what you try to do you will NEVER STOP THE MARIJUANA FLOW...EVER so give up and quit wasting our american tax dollars there is a lot more better things we could be spending it on. Get your heads out...
Well we dont think that is is fun.. It actually is and this now an day government is soo screwed up with this marijuana deal that kids do go do it because its a trip if you get away from the cops. Legalize it and there should be no problems anymore but no America and Michigan have their heads so far up there butts its not even funny. oh yea and clare city police, slow your roll down your not detroit city police even though thats what you act like. clare was soo much better off with rynerson as chief. but back to the basics i understand your kid is flunking school but let me tell you that it is not the mariujuana doing it because when i first went to high school i failed my freshman year started smoking a lot and i passed with a 3.5 G.P.A so quit blaming marijuana for your kids stupid mistakes.
Seriously, look at Andy's history, he is a great kid, did everything he was supposed to do, and he is a bad kid for selling dope, if the job economy wasn't so ridiculous in the Clare Area, maybe you would have less drug dealers. Give the youth something to do, instead of complaining about the things they found to do, look at the big picture, and quit being so ignorant .
get a real job? really? they are out making sure tha u are safe. risking their lives for you and all u can say is get a real job? u should get a life. if people didnt break the law and do dumb things then they wouldnt get in trouble.
Whats a 28 year old doing with 17/18 year olds. Pot is a big deal when u have a kid to support. If you can afford to smoke/sell pot which is illegal then u should be supporting your kid. Now because Of Ben's stupidity his daughter wont be able to see or talk to her dad. And I am left to tell her that her dad is not able to talk to her or see her. Very SAD!
Apparently your quite ignorant as to the prevalence of marijuana. If you took a minute to look up current statistics, its one of the most widely used illicit drugs. It is so common for teenagers now and even further back in history to smoke it. I think you would be hard pressed to find many high schooler's and/or college students who have not tried pot. Does that make all them bad kids? No. Grow up and think about the real dangers on the streets like pedophiles, rapists, murders-- not a little bit of pot. God knows that the "adults" of today smoked enough of it during their youth.
Since when is pot really not a big deal, it obviously is since it is STILL illegal and i am sure they are going to get some sort of punishment! Not to mention all these kids are under 18, don't they have anything better to be doing with there time. Like Andy for instance, he just got kicked off the football team(which sucks seeing as Clare seems to be doing good in playoffs), and as for a "good kid" I guess if you call some 17 yr old who smokes pot a good kid then we have different definitions of a "good kid". I am sure he was not just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
i agree with you totally. people do see marijuana as not a big thing but it is once that high isnt good enough for them then they move on to the bigger drugs.
Hes a good kid, just got mixed up. lets go after the cocaine dealers or ecstacy dealers and get these clare cops doing something to prevent drugs that actually kill
I find it funny that you consider marijuana a big deal, when likely it will be legalized within the next few years. We already have opened the door by legalizing medicinal marijuana, now its just a matter of time before its legalized throughout.
I also find it funny that you are blaming these kids for the actions of your child. Way to place the scapegoat on these kids. Marijuana isnt addictive, and each time your boy lights up, its because he decides to. No one is forcing him to take that hit. I'm appalled that as a parent you cant understand this. If those accused were to jump off a bridge, would your boy go to? I'd hope not because he is probably smarter than that. He has no one to blame for his failure of school or loss of friends but himself. I know this is a hard reality to choke down, but its the truth. I knew plenty of kids when I was in high school that smoked dope, and still had plenty of friends and did fine on their schoolwork. I think its time for you to stop pointing fingers and look at the real problem here.
I have read most of the comments that have been written above and can not believe them. I am very dissapointed in the children in this area and think that they need some life lessons. Maybe these kids think that drugs are not a big deal well they are. I am a mother of a Clare student that is struggling in school and life due to these same kids who have tought him that it is not a big deal. I would give anything to have these kids be abe to learn that this is special time in their life that they are wasteing on something that they THINK is fun. These same kids have done drugs with my kid and I can tell you his life has not been fun lately. He is flunking school and has lost most of the friends he used to have. He has missed all the memories that a high schooler should have and is struggling to make good choices. I say not only should these kids be arrested but find they adult that is making money off of destoying our youth.
