A Northern Michigan orchard is making a huge donation to the less fortunate.
Cherry Bay Orchards in Suttons Bay is wrapping up the season by donating thousands of bushels of apples.
The orchard is working with the group, "Hope and Encouragement for Humanity" to ship the apples to food banks in Texas, Mexico and other areas.
More than a hundred volunteers donated their time to help pick the crop and load them on to three large semi trucks.
The owner of Cherry Bay Orchards says they also donated to some of the local food banks earlier this year.
