A single-engine AERONCA plane crashed around 6:15 Tuesday night in Vanderbilt.
The plane went down in a ditch along I-75. Police closed the road for more than three hours.
A witness tells 9&10 News he watched the plane circle three times before it came down.
When he got to the plane he found two men inside.
Emergency crews cut the men out of the plane and took them to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
Police say at least one of the men is from the Gaylord area.
The number on the plane shows it is registered to Screamin Aviation LLC in Gaylord.
Police don't know what caused the plane to crash, but the F.A.A. will take over the investigation.
9&10's Christina Vecchioni and photojournalist Aaron Smith have more from the scene.
