Officials say suicide bombers blew up their vehicles near two government buildings. There have been no claims of responsibility so far, but massive car bombs have been the hallmark of Sunni insurgents seeking to overthrow the country's Shiite-dominated government.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Protesters have left Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque, where they'd been holed up for several hours. Earlier, Israeli forces fired stun grenades to disperse hundreds of stone-throwing Palestinians. The mosque is part of Jerusalem's holiest shrine, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary.
