JERUSALEM (AP) — Dozens of protesters are holed up in a section of Jerusalem's holiest shrine, after clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian demonstrators. Israel's national police chief is accusing a small group of Muslim extremists of trying to stir up violence at the shrine, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran has opened its once-secret uranium enrichment site to U.N. inspectors. The semiofficial Mehr news agency reports a team of four visited the facility south of Tehran. No reports are expected until after the inspectors leave Iran later this week. WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Chuck Schumer says he thinks a public health insurance option will be able to survive in the Senate's version of the health care overhaul. On NBC, the New York Democrat said it will likely be a middle-ground proposal that allows states to opt out. MACAU (AP) — Two retired tennis greats turned out in southern China today for a replay of one of sport's greatest rivalries. Pete Sampras edged Andre Agassi in three sets, for a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 win. The last time the two played, Sampras won the 2002 U.S. open final for his then-record 14th Grand Slam.
