WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of bank failures blew past the 100 mark Friday, as the FDIC took control of seven more. Three are in Florida, and the others are in Georgia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. The FDIC won't say how deep a hole its deposit insurance fund is in.

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) — David Letterman landed President Barack Obama for his show, and now Jay Leno has landed Michelle Obama. The first lady, who appeared via satellite, was asked what is the president's most annoying habit. She first said he has none, but then said there wasn't enough time to list them all.
