Small school districts like Bear Lake in Manistee are really feeling the impact of the latest round of state budget cuts in Lansing.
The newest cuts at $127 per student, adds up to more than $40,000 dollars in reductions for Bear Lake, which is expected to have a big impact on the district with about 350 total students.
The superintendent says this is forcing the school board to look at potentially cutting basic programs in the school's curriculum.
9&10's Kalee Iacoangeli and photojournalist Jordan Nagel spoke with the superintendent who says these cuts could cause even more students to leave the area.
