Crews brought in banks of lights and worked through the night to make sure a Missaukee County windmill was indeed stable.
Police had to block off roads and evacuate three homes Sunday amid fear it could topple over. The worry involved the latest windmill completed at Stoney Corners in McBain.
Crews inspected the tower though and found no abnormalities. After consulting with the owner, manufacturer and engineers, they decided it was okay.
People returned to their homes, and the roads were re-opened.
