FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — What looked like a possible family tragedy will instead be just a family story. A 6-year-old boy thought to have floated off in a homemade balloon in Colorado has been found safe, hiding in the family's garage.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The American Medical Association is hoping to pressure Congress to raise payments for doctors treating Medicare patients. The AMA is beginning a seven-figure ad campaign. It says it wants to "protect seniors' access to quality care."

WASHINGTON (AP) — For the first time since 1975, there will be no cost-of-living increase for people on Social Security. But the Obama administration wants to give seniors a $250 payment to help deal with higher health care and drug costs.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona investigators probing the deaths of two people during a sweat lodge ceremony last week have ruled them homicides. The local sheriff says they were not accidental, but isn't sure yet if there's a solid criminal case.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Food and Drug Administration is planning a sharp look at laser eye-correcting surgery. It wants to know how many patients have negative side effects. The first step will be an online questionnaire on quality of life after the surgery.
