ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says quarterback Tate Forcier's (FOR-cee-ayz) status for the Wolverines' game against Delaware State remains unclear. Forcier sustained a mild concussion in last Saturday's 30-28 loss at Iowa and was held out of practice earlier this week after experiencing headaches. The team will look to end a two-game losing streak on Saturday.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed defensive back Demarcus Faggins and wide receiver John Standeford. Faggins played in 82 games with 36 starts for the Houston Texans, who drafted him in 2002. Standeford played in nine games for Detroit in 2008, starting four.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Detroit Lions (1-4) quarterback Matt Stafford took part in individual drills yesterday, three days after missing a loss to Pittsburgh. Stafford hurt his knee in an Oct. 4 loss at Chicago. His team plays at Green Bay (2-2) on Sunday.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State leads the nation with five Final Four appearances since 1999. The Spartans, though, have won only one national championship during their decade of excellence. Coach Tom Izzo says that fact pushes him every day. The Spartans seem to have a shot this season to clench another title with Kalin Lucas and Raymar Morgan leading a team that returns seven of its top nine scorers.
