Last night's high winds knocked power out for more than 100,000 people in Michigan -- thousands right here in Northern Michigan.
One of the hardest hit places in our viewing area was Northport in Leelanau County, where more than 700 people lost power.
The village's only grocery store had to stay closed, along with several other businesses.
The manager of Brew North coffee shop told us she lost a lot of money this morning.
The only gas station in town stayed open but couldn't take credit cards and couldn't sell gas.
Tonight most Northport businesses are back in business, but about 1,000 people across Leelanau County are still in the dark.
The latest from Consumers Energy is that the majority of customers should be back on by late tomorrow, and the rest on Friday.
Erika Waddell and photojournalist Jeremy Erickson have the story.
