Vandals On Window Shooting Spree In Benzie, Leelanau Counties

The Leelanau County Sheriff's Department is investigating several incidents of windows being shot out.
Deputies say most of the damage happened in Empire, but has spread to Suttons Bay and Northport, too.
Investigators say windows have been shot out in at least 12 cars in the last three days.
They say one business, Grocer's Daughter Chocolate in Empire, was also hit.
The shootings have all happened between early evening and early morning.
Deputies believe the shootings are connected, but say the randomness of the targets has them looking for help from the public.
Tonight we've also learned that the spree has reached over into the Elberta area of Benzie County.
Anyone with information should call police.
