Right now crews are searching parts of Leelanau county for a missing elderly man.

Melvin Schalhamer, 90, was last seen at his home in Glen Arbor around 1:30 this afternoon.

He is 5'7" tall, weighs 175 pounds, has blue eyes and gray-balding hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark navy sweatshirt, sweat pants and wearing red colored shoes.

The Sheriff's Department says Schalhamer has early stages of dementia and is in poor physical shape.
