Traverse City Man Arrested for Shooting Into Home

State Troopers say they've arrested a Traverse City man for shooting a high powered rifle into a Wexford County home early this morning at 12:45a.m.

Police say it happened at 3020 15 1/2 Mile Road in Boon Township.

Police say the man shot eight times into the home where five people, including three young children, were inside. No one was injured.

The man also violated probation out of Grand Rapids.

Troopers say the gun and vehicle the man used have been recovered.

Our neighbor got a slap on the wrist for intoxicated use of firearm, and he admitted to the police he was upset with us, but the prosc. let him off anyways.. these are the reasons crimes happen.. because the criminal is treated to nicely by the authorties!

I agree with Nathan totally, there are prisoners being let out that have no business being on the streets and it is endangering all of our safety as well as our children!

We really need to look into Michigan's MPRI. It is being mishandled. There is no accountability. I wish nine and ten would do a story on that.
