An Emmet county family is out of its home, after fire destroyed their garage, and smoke and water damage severely damaged what was left of their house.
   Firefighters found a fully engulfed garage when they arrived on the scene shortly after 3:30 Sunday afternoon at the house on Poplar street in Pellston.
   The fire also entered the attic space above the garage, causing more damage to the attached house.
   Departments from Carp Lake and Alanson joined Pellston firefighters. They were on the scene for four hours.
   The family in the home all made it out safely, and no one was hurt fighting the fire.
   The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
