Two people riding a motor-cycle are hospitalized in Grand Rapids, after their cycle struck a vehicle that failed to yield to them, according to deputies. The Mecosta County sheriff's department says the accident happened on Northland Drive, at 11 mile road in Mecosta Township, shortly before five thirty Friday evening. Deputies say a 48 year old man from Stanwood was driving the vehicle that failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle, and was struck. The victims on the cycle were first taken to Mid-Michigan Medical Center, and then airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids. Their conditions are not known.
Before you open your uninformed, uneducated mouth, think twice, look 3 times and listen. People on the road that don't pay attention scare the HELL out of me. If you don't see or hear a motorcycle, What the hell else are you missing?
I hate people that post stupid comments if you don't like motorcyles then keep it to yourself but there is no excuse for the way you act just think one day that motorcycle rider could be one your family members because i promise it is always someone else's!
My prayers go out to our downed brother. But you MR Skidway I can tell with your comment that you drive with your head in your rear. In your community alot of bikers do more good than bad. B4K does everything they can to help kids in your area. Just a word of advise look twice for them. They are the ones trying to make a differance!
I came upon this accident right after it happened it was horrible, the guy driving the pickup pulled out RIGHT infront of the motorcycle, the couple was lying in the road not moving. My kids and I began to pray for all involved immediately. I continue to pray for them and the driver of the truck. We're all entitled to our opinions but to say you HATE bikers especially if you had seen these people laying in the road at no fault of their own, I feel bad for you "me".
Ok, skidway lake, so you don't like motorcycles well too bad. People still have to stop and stop signs and these are two people injured whether on a bike or not so show a little compassion.
I hate motorcycles. Especially Harley's. Too loud. And why do they need to ride two inches off the center line? I give no extra room to them when they are coming at me. I just stay in my lane.
That's a clear two way stop. Straight, flat roads, nothing impending the intersection, etc. No need to miss a biker unless you aren't looking. Please check twice before you proceed!
My friend was driving home and came across it. It was terrible. The poor ppl were laying in the middle of the road. I wish we could find out who they were and to find out how they are doing. I am so sorry that had to happen. Ppl really need to watch for motorcycles.
As a motorcycle rider for the last 20 yrs, i cannot count the times i have been cut off, pulled out in front of, or simply not seen! Our headlights are on ALL the time, yet so many fail to see us.Everyone is always in a hurry to get out in front of that next vehicle, Look twice and save a life!!! Cause it could be your own....
