A familiar voice in northern Michigan celebrated a milestone today, and we were right there with him.
Back in 1984, a younger Jack O'Malley came to WTCM radio in Traverse City to host a morning show. Today, his distinguished voice and sense of humor are still heard all over northern Michigan during the same time slot. On Friday, friends, family and co-workers celebrated 25 years of Jack O'Malley in the morning. "When I started in radio, we were playing things called records," says O'Malley. "I remember stepping into the studio at WTCM the day they took out turntables because I thought that's a historic day when radio leaves vinyl and goes to CD's." 9&10's Ryan Raiche and Photojournalist Jeremy Erickson have more on Jack O'Malley's 25-year anniversary.
