First Lady's Attic Dresses Grads for Success » View Picture » Play Video » Feedback (2)
Presenting a professional look to potential employers has never been more important than it is now and a new program at Ferris State University is trying to give students an edge.
The First Lady's Attic opened last week under the direction of the university's first lady Patsy Eisler. The small store - run out of the student center - is a free service to students who need professional clothes for job interviews, internships and class presentations. Suits and other business clothing are available free to students to keep. Community donors are supplying the shirts, suits and shoes for both men and women. "We don't call it used, we call it experienced," says Eisler. "Students walk out carrying themselves a little taller." Pete's Cleaners in Big Rapids accepts donated clothing and also cleans and presses each item. For more information on donating business clothing or cash, contact the First Lady's Attic at flattic@ferris.edu or 231-591-3193.
