  I had the opportunity to ride an antique tractor across the Mackinaw Bridge. It was an awesome experience and I would love to be able to do it again. The crowds were very supportive and enthusiastic.

  What fun it was to drive our old Allis Chalmers across the bridge ! It was an event I am sure to never forget. I can say with great certinaty that I as well as many from our club will return to do it again.

  It was great being able to drive my Grandfathers 1961 Ford 801 Select -O-Speed Tractor in the First Antique Tractor Crossing on Mackinac Bridge.

  On the Mackinaw Bridge that is! I was riding my BMW motorcycle home to Green Bay, from a meeting in Grand Rapids. I just timed it right to be at the bridge when the tractors started across. At mid span, over the grating, I had to stop for traffiic in my lane, whn I got passed on the right by a Series 40 John Deere chuffing along at 9 mph, driven by a gal having a great time. THAT does NOT happen every day. Andy

  What a great way to promote Michigan, its wonders and interesting people and places! I congratulate the Michigan managers who agreed to this and foresaw the positive impact it would have. We were there and had a great time. See you next year!
