* Dry Much of This Week
* Frost Possible Tonight
* A Summer-Like Weekend
___________________________
Fire danger remains high on the west side of the state, very high on the east side, and bordering on extreme in the U.P. DO NOT BURN! The Huron-Manistee National Forest Service reports no fires yesterday. Awesome! Rain from yesterday helped just a bit, with no red flag warnings or fire weather watches today--but it remains dry through the weekend so be on guard for these to return!
Today is looking sunny and dry, but much cooler than yesterday. Highs will only reach into the middle 50's and 60's by late this afternoon. Winds are strong today, out of the NW at 10-20mph, with higher gusts. Tonight stays mostly clear, with patchy and isolated frost possible. Expect lows mainly in the low 30's to near 40 degrees. Winds drop off tonight, out of the NW 3-6mph.
Tomorrow brings a few clouds to the equation, especially in the afternoon, turning us partly to mostly cloudy by day's end. Expect highs to jump into the 60's to 70 degrees. Friday stays dry, with mostly sunny/partly cloudy skies, and temperatures mainly in the 70's.
A summer-like weekend is on tap, with lots of sun on Saturday, temperatures in the middle 70's and low 80's. Sunday starts sunny, but adds a few clouds later in the day. Highs stay in the range of 74-83 degrees. Sunday night through Monday brings our next chance of rain into the picture--and boy will we need it by then. Expect a rather gloomy and wet Monday, with temperatures dropping into the upper 60's and middle 70's.
