Missaukee County Makes Decisions on 2019 Budget

The Missaukee County administrator and commissioners met Tuesday night to make some decisions on their 2019 budget.

Just last week the county administrator was asked to cut $40,000 of spending from the budget.

The county administrator suggested making cuts to jail operations and the MSU extension.

But commissioners decided not to cut MSU extension or any other programs, and funds for jail operation will now fully come from the jail expansion fund instead of the Missaukee County general fund.

The county is looking to adopt the budget in August.
