More than 1,000 dolls fill the Dolls and Things museum.

Jeanette Majerle has been collecting these dolls for about half a century.

She has a wide variety of dolls, her very first doll she grew up with, as well as dolls from other countries.

With more than 2,000 eyeballs looking back at her, she says it’s hard to pick a favorite.

“All of them are my favorites, I love am all,” said Jeanette Majerle, the curator. “ “They are art, they are history, with the barbies you can tell with the beginning of barbie in ‘59, she was very detailed.

The museum is open for the summer by appointment.

And she is always looking to add to her collection if you’d like to contribute.

To visit, call Jeanette at 231-775-4232.
