If you’ve always wanted your name in the Guinness Book of World Records this weekend is your chance.

It’s the annual Love Ludington weekend and this year you can be involved in two world record attempts all by being on a bike!

With summer kicking off it’s the perfect time to grab your bike and your helmet and head to Ludington this weekend to join 1,000 others.

“We’ve had success the last two years breaking a world record and it’s kind of become an annual tradition,” Brandy Henderson, Executive Director at Ludington Visitors Bureau.

Kicking off the Love Ludington weekend by hosting two Guinness World Record attempts that they want anyone and everyone to be part of.

“We need 1,187 bikes and were going to start here at the corner and go down there then come back and there’s a loop around here and you’ll come back to set the second record which is the longest line of bikes not moving. For that one we need 1,487 bikes,” Andy Klevorn, member of Shoreline Cycling Club.

Two memorable experiences that are both free and open to anyone in the community.

Even if you don’t have a bike they have several you can borrow.

“We just hope people will come out to Ludington and try something new, spend some time with your family, bring your kids and bring your neighbors,” Klevorn says.

Gathering as many bikers as possible as the Guinness judge counts to ensure the records are officially broken.

“The Guinness World Record has been a part of Love Ludington now this will be our third year and really it’s kind of that headliner event really cool memorable experience,” says Henderson. “It’s a unique fun thing for families to participate for kind of the kick off to summer.”

You won’t want to miss being part of this world record.
