Grant Me Hope: Shenella

Shenella is a Michigan teen with a list of wishes, including giving children a life she didn’t have and a chance to go to college.

We meet this young lady in this week’s Grant Me Hope.

Shenella is 16 years old.

She describes herself as nice, caring and outgoing.

She enjoys cooking, playing basketball and reading.

When she grows up, Shenella wants to be a nurse.

“I want to be a nurse, because I like helping people out and I’m not afraid of blood and all that stuff,” said Shenella.

Shenella is hoping to find a forever family to adopt her.

“If I were a big sister, I would be very protective,” explained Shenella. “I would look forward to being adopted so I could have a family and start new.”

Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
