The nationally known ‘Doughnut Boy’ was in northern Michigan Tuesday doing what he loves, thanking police officers

Ten-year-old Tyler Carach was at Cops & Doughnuts in Clare and Mt. Pleasant handing out doughnuts to local police officers and thanking them for the job they do.

Tyler has been doing this for 22 months and visited 30 states and handed out more than 60,000 doughnuts.

He’s made it his goal to thank every police officer in America after a simple encounter with some officers.

“I asked my mom if I could buy the little packs of mini doughnuts with my own money, and when we were leaving I asked my mom why were they so happy over a snack, and she said it wasn’t because you gave them a snack it was because you took the time to say thank you,” said Carach.

Tyler also made a stop in Lansing.
