Search Begins for State Capital’s Next Christmas Tree

The state of Michigan is on the lookout to find the capital’s next Christmas tree.

The search for that perfect tree began Tuesday.

Candidates need to be at least 55 feet tall, have a crown less than 24 feet wide, and a trunk no larger than 30 inches in diameter.

The tree also has to be donated for free.

Last years tree came from the Upper Peninsula.

Nominations run for the next three months.
