Cadillac Stabbing Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder

A Wexford County woman is now charged with attempted murder after a stabbing at a Cadillac motel.

Miranda Turpin was arraigned on two counts of attempted murder.

Cadillac police tell us it all started around 7:30 Saturday morning when they got a call about two people being stabbed at the Economy Inn motel on Mitchell Street.

Police say when they got there, both victims had multiple stab wounds and had to be taken to the hospital. The victims are in stable, but serious condition.

Turpin said very little as the judge read her the charges. She now faces up to life in prison.

She’s currently being held on $500,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the victims.

We are still working to learn the relationship between the victims and Turpin.

We also learned during the arraignment that Turpin is pregnant and expecting a child.
