Manton’s 12th Annual Tagged Fish Derby is casting off this Saturday!
The event starts Saturday at 12:01 a.m.
There are a total of 15 tagged fish in Lake Billings, all worth cash prizes.
Tickets cost $5 and you must present your ticket to claim prizes.
Organizers say it’s an event that brings the community out and together.
“We hope to have a good time, we hope they do go home with a prize and, of course, they go home with some nice fish to make a fish dinner with. A lot of people camp here, even keep their camper here, and even camp along the lake to keep their spot. So it’s a weekend event for them and they get to socialize,” said Beverly Monroe, project coordinator.
It ends Sunday at 6 p.m.
All proceeds for the event go toward stocking Lake Billings with fish.
