2 Women Admit to Receiving, Using Drug in Grand Traverse County Jail
Two women are facing charges after they admitted they received a drug and used it while in jail.
On Monday Kayla Sprague was caught attempting to flush a bag of suboxone and nearly $300 down the toilet in the Grand Traverse jail.
Corrections officers interviewed women they believed could have been involved, including Delaine Beckman and Julia Buck.
Beckman and Buck later admitted they received the drug and used it.
The two are now charged with possession of contraband by a prisoner, which is a five year felony.
They are also charged as two time habitual offenders.
