Fish and wildlife are a public resource and Thursday we’re learning about the laws that help protect them.
Whether you’re hunting or fishing, or even watching, it’s important to know the rules that are there to protect natural resources from vulnerable harvest or loss of habitat.
The DNR says that most of the fish and game stocks are healthy because of these laws.
“There’s a multitude of reasons today that we have to protect our game species that are non-game species and have laws designed around that to allow fair chase, equal viewing, and equal access to the public,” says Lt. John Jurcich.
