Reed City Man Arrested for Felonious Assault at Hospital
A Reed City man is in jail Sunday after state police say he threatened three workers at a hospital.
Troopers were called to the Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital, where they say a man reportedly exposed himself to staff before taking off his IV and medical equipment.
When the emergency room doctor contacted him, troopers say the man then pulled out a pocket knife, brandishing it in a threatening manner at the doctor and two other staff members.
The man then ran from the hospital, and tried running away from troopers before he was cornered on the west shoulder of 220th Avenue.
The man was believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine when the incident happened.
The man is currently in Osceola County Jail on felonious assault charges.
More charges are expected, and he is set to be arraigned Monday.
