Explore Old Mission Peninsula With Annual Snowshoe Wine & Brew

A popular winter event is getting ready to kick off this weekend!

The 5th annual Old Mission Snowshoe Wine and Brew encourages people to sample local wine and beer, while also enjoying the snow.

The event begins on Sunday and continues through March 11.

Here’s how it works; a bus picks you up at the Jolly Pumpkin and takes you to Brys Estate.

Then you’re encouraged to snowshoe or hike the mile and a half trail to Bowers Harbor Vineyards and then back to the Jolly Pumpkin.

“Winter time in Traverse City is so beautiful, and I think a lot of people when they come up to Traverse City, they think about coming in the fall and they think of all the other seasons except for winter,” said Melissa Weber, Bowers Harbor Vineyards’ Wine Club Manager. “So it’s a really nice way to get people outside in the winter time, get some activity.”

Tickets include shuttle service and samples at each location.
