Cadillac’s Red Bell Campaign Benefiting Salvation Army in Need of Volunteers

It’s about this time of year you start to hear that familiar bell ringing outside stores, but that sound is delayed in Cadillac.

That’s because the Salvation Army there says they have a shortage of employees to ring bells and train volunteers.

While many cities’ red kettle campaign began Friday, Cadillac’s was scheduled for Monday.

But now it has to be moved back to next Friday.

“Every dollar that you raise stays in the community and helps us through the year to provide food, clothing, rent and utility assistance. It is very noble it’s very proud, people are grateful for what the Salvation Army does,” Maj. Valerie Nance, Salvation Army said.
