Butter Sculpture At The State Fair of Texas
A ton of butter.
While not quite, but almost.
An artist’s display at the State Fair of Texas is a sculpture made out of a half a ton of butter!
Ken Robison used the massive amount of butter to create his own version of Mount Rushmore, inspired by Texas history.
Each person represents the “heroes of Texas,” faces of farmers, builders and astronauts.
The artist says out of all the mediums he’s worked with, butter has been the most difficult, but also the most enjoyable.
“This is the most fun challenge I’ve ever had,” Robison said.
And while all many things Texas are hot, hot, hot.
This one is not.
The sculpture is kept in a display case at 37 degrees Fahrenheit to sustain the heat and be showcased throughout the fair.
