Hometown Tourist: BLOOM Floral Design

You may have noticed that there’s something new about an alleyway in downtown Charlevoix.

There’s now a place to explore where buildings used to sit vacant.

David and Erin take to you in this revitalized back alley that is sure to dazzle the floral lover in your life.

“I love that it’s sort of off the beaten path. People discover us, they’re sort of wandering around town and they see the petals, or the door open, or they’re having lunch at the cantina, or grabbing an ice cream across the way and they sort of happen up on us,” said owner Jennifer Haf.

A European corridor style with fresh petals lining the doorsteps and hundreds of colorful flowers greet you when you walk into BLOOM floral design.

“We want it to feel very European with flowers out for people to touch to smell. People walk in and there’s a beautiful display of fresh flowers that changes out a few times a week. People can come in and help themselves to flowers, we have several designers that are happy to help make a bouquet,” explained Jennifer.

Jennifer has a deep passion for the joy flowers can bring and a visit here is more than about the blooms.

“We have lots of artist crafted jewelry, gift cards and lots of bath and body fragrance lines that pair well with flowers. We’ve curated all of our items with a lot of intention and mindfulness with that sort of warm happy feeling that flowers bring,” said Jennifer.

So take a moment to grab a few flowers for the special someone in your life. Jennifer takes pride in knowing everything that goes out the door feels like a gift.

“Flowers are happy, they make people feel good. Typically they are a happy element in life and certainly bring lots of joy and beauty to the world. I just love that it gives Charlevoix this sort of, another dimension that people are discovering,” noted Jennifer
