Lakeshore Resource Network In Ludington Opens Back Up

The Lakeshore Resource Network is back up and running.

A fire burned their building to the ground nearly a year ago.

The original building burned down last Labor Day weekend.

The Lakeshore Resource network brings together seven nonprofit organizations including United Way of Mason County, Pennies from Heaven Foundation, Lakeshore Food Club and more.

They offer services like adult education, job fairs and a food bank.

The network lets the organizations work together closely.

“To have a centralized location for health and human services, to be together to share back offices, we don’t all need our own copy machines and fax numbers. It provides a way to offer our services the community,” says Lynne Russell, executive director of United Way of Mason County.

The Lakeshore Resource Network will have an open house at the new building in October.
