Coast Guard Rescues Man from Frankfort Break-wall
The Coast Guard rescued a man who was stranded on the Frankfort pier on the entrance to Betsie Lake late Friday night.
The Coast Guard says the man had been fishing when the weather picked up and he got stranded because of waves crashing over the break-wall.
He called 911 and the Coast Guard sent a boat and helicopter from Traverse City to rescue him.
They hoisted him up in the helicopter.
He was taken to the airport to be treated by EMS.
The Coast Guard says the man was not hurt.
