Summer is flying by and every weekend is packed with fun festivals and events to keep you busy.
Courtney Sheffer, from the West Michigan Tourist Association, is back this week to show us What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
The 15th Annual Petoskey Festival on the Bay is coming up August 18 and 19 at the Petoskey waterfront.
Every year, visitors enjoy great music inside the entertainment tent and a fun children’s area all weekend.
Other activities include chalk the walk, a silent disco, Wine on the Water, the big art show, a petting zoo and much more!
Bay Harbor is bringing back its Dog Days of August dog show this Saturday, August 12, benefiting Charlevoix Area Humane Society and the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society.
This family event will have many fun activities, including a dog parade on Main Street in the village, best trick competition, dog and owner look-alike contest, most athletic dog and best costume!
Make a difference in the life of a homeless or abandoned pet by taking part in this fun-filled event with your furry friend! Stay the night at the Bay Harbor Village Hotel to make it a weekend escape, with Lake Michigan waterfront dining, marina and shopping.
If you are getting into boating, need to replace an item, or just love to be around boat stuff, head to the Nautical Flea Market and Boat Sale on August 12h from 9-a.m. until 1 p.m.
Hosted at the Inland Seas Education Association in Suttons Bay, the flea market will include many power tools, hand tools and other shop equipment, including collector’s items.
You’ll also find plenty of boat stuff, including anchors, life jackets, outboard engines, maps and much more.
