Kalkaska Co. Woman Charged With Killing Father To Be Sentenced

A woman accused of stabbing her father to death will learn her fate Tuesday.

We’ve been following this murder case in Kalkaska County since January.

That’s when a friend of Michael Brandt found him dead in his Springfield Township home, rolled up inside a carpet.

The investigation led the sheriff’s office to Brian and Jessica Degroot, Brandt’s daughter and son-in-law.

Both are charged in Brandt’s murder.

Brian is also charged with torture.
