Troopers Arrest Driver After 31 Mile Chase Through Kalkaska County

Michigan State Police had to use stop sticks to end a high speed chase that dragged on for 31 miles.

Troopers tried stopping the man for speeding on U.S. 131 near Boardman Road in Kalkaska County just before noon Sunday.

He took off, beginning the 31 mile chase.

Troopers deployed stop sticks, popping the driver’s tires.

The Grand Rapids man was arrested for running from police, driving on a suspended license and a felony fugitive charge for carrying a concealed weapon out of Kent County.
