GM Recalls Trucks Over Power Steering Problem
Hundreds of thousands of GM trucks are being recalled because they could suddenly lose power steering.
The recall involves certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.
The problem is in the software that controls electric power steering assistance.
It has a glitch that can cause vehicles to spontaneously lose power steering for about a second when drivers can lose control.
GM will notify owners.
Dealers will update the software for free to fix the problem
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has a list of all affected vehicles on its website. You can find that list by clicking here.
