Grand Traverse Collision Starts Backpack, School Supplies Drive
The cost of school supplies can be hard on some families.
That’s why one local company is stepping up to help.
Grand Traverse Collision is kicking off a backpack drive to help struggling families in the Traverse City area.
Backpack collections started Monday and runs through September 1.
For every backpack with supplies donated, the business will match it, working towards their goal of collecting 100 backpacks.
Chris Hall who owns the business got the idea after shopping around with his kids.
He says this is the best way for his business to give back to local students.
"Let’s face it, there are a lot of families out there struggling so we just want to make sure you know it can be a stressful time of year for families and we just thought that we could help lighten the burden,” Hall said.
If you would like to donate, you can bring backpacks to Grand Traverse Collision.
