BATA Provides Free Rides For Traverse City Film Festival

As the Traverse City Film Festival kicks into high gear BATA bus service is offering free rides to help you get around.

Finding a parking spot can be a challenge during the festival, along with getting in between venues quickly.

But BATA is helping make that easier.

BATA bus service set up different spots throughout Traverse City that will have specially marked shuttles stopping every 15 minutes.

There will also be stops at two park-and-ride locations.

All you have to do is leave your car at Thirlby Field or NMC’s cherry lot and a bus will pick you up and take you to film festival venues.

“There are people looking and hunting for parking spots downtown right now and having an option like this, free festival shuttle, is a way for people to reduce the hassle, the stress in looking for parking and battling with the traffic and just enjoying movies because that’s what the film festival is all about,” said Eric Lingaur, communications manager for BATA.
