Christmas isn’t Christmas without the Salvation Army’s signature Red Kettle fundraiser.
Well the same goes for Christmas in July.
Salvation Armies across the country have the option to participate.
The one in Traverse City has a goal to reach $10,000 before the end of the month.
They only did bell ringing for one weekend in July, but say they encourage people to donate all year long.
Major Jeff Russell says, “Our services don’t end after the first of the year it goes throughout the year with our feeding program, our pantry, our general emergency services such as utilities and other assistance.”
