Traverse City Film Festival Kicks Off 13th Year

"The community has really come together. People really come out for the Film Festival and we’re really happy about it."

Celebrating film and fun.

The Traverse City Film Festival just kicked off its 13th year.

It’s a memorable time for many, not only in Traverse City but people from all over.

And this year will be no different.

New this year is a location change for Kids Fest and new venues like Central High School and Kirkbride Hall in the commons

But there’s also a new bike share program with Norte.

So if you want to head from venue to venue without worrying about driving or parking, you can borrow a donated bike from one of the racks outside the venues.

The festival does have a motto and they’re standing by it once again this year.

"Our motto is just great movies and we have plenty of them. This year we have over 120 feature films and we have plenty of shorts as well, so there’s no lack of selection and plenty of tickets are available online and at the box office," Katy Gwizdala, communications director said.
