Traverse City Art Trek Provides A New Way To Experience Art Downtown

There’s a new way to experience art in downtown Traverse City.

It’s called the Traverse City Art Trek or TCAT.

The self-guided trek starts at the Traverse City Tourism Center and features seven stops at artwork throughout downtown.

Creators say they came up with it after the Dennos Museum Center closed for updates and they wanted to bring art to people as they enjoy walking downtown.

Now the TCAT is growing.

Linda Koebert, a Traverse City Public Arts Commissioner “I was just notified by Ty Schmidt of Norte that they very much want to get involved in a bike version and I just got contacted by the Dennos Museum actually that they would like us to put together what I’m calling an MCAT for the sculptures at the college.”

The Traverse City Tourism Center has a brochure that will lead you along the art trek.
