Traverse City Prepares for 13th Annual Film Festival
It was a busy day in Traverse City as the Traverse City Film Festival prepares for an exciting week.
The 13th annual Traverse City Film Festival starts Tuesday.
They set up tents and warmed-up projectors for the event.
The Open Space, the City Opera House, the State Theatre and the Bijou by the Bay will host film screenings.
Some of this year’s headliners include the film "Detroit", and a film made by CMU students about Ithaca football’s 69-game winning streak.
The festival also features film classes, movies on a boat and kids fest movies.
“We’re still spending every minute preparing. Today we are actually helping do a run through for the theaters, making sure everything is perfect for the audience,” said Katy Gwizdala, Traverse City Film Festival
Monday night at dusk at the Open Space, you can enjoy a free movie as film festival crews test their outdoor theater.
