Baldwin Businesses Excited For Cash Boost Brought In By Troutarama

The 61st annual Troutarama is wrapping up and now local businesses are getting ahead from the boost in cash.

Lake County is one of the poorest counties in the state and business owners say they really look forward to events like Troutarama and Blessing Of The Bikes to keep the doors open.

The event brings in thousands of people from all over the state.

The owner of Jones Ice Cream who has been in business for 28 years says the festival helps everyone.

"The holiday weekend are what really is to help you survive for the summer, we do have busy weekends also and during the week it is a very short period of time when you have three months that you are really making hay while the sun shines."

Preparations are already underway for next year’s event.
