Traverse City Shooting Suspect Arraigned
“I’m setting a high bond, it’s gonna be a million dollar cash surety bond.”
The man accused of shooting someone in Grand Traverse County learned it would take $100,000 to be bailed out of jail.
He’s now officially charged with attempted murder.
Alan Halloway was charged with attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm.
The charges come after an incident Tuesday when investigators say Halloway visited the Bay Hill Apartment complex armed with a handgun and knife.
Witnesses at the scene tell us he stepped outside with a resident before shooting him in the arm and shoulder.
Prosecutor Bob Cooney requested Halloway’s bond be set high, out of concern for public safety.
A probable cause conference is set for August 1 and a preliminary exam the following week.
