Traverse City Bridal Shops Affected By Bridal Chain Filing For Bankruptcy

Bridal chain Alfred Angelo filing for bankruptcy is leaving thousands of brides across the country scrambling,

The move left brides who bought dresses or paid deposits with no options.

While there are no Northern Michigan chains, the company does provide dresses to local bridal shops.

Natalie’s Bridal and Tuxedo in Traverse City, which had been working with Alfred Angelo for 25 years, had no idea that their customers’ dresses wouldn’t be delivered.

“It was like a light switch. They were gone. Done. With no answer. Nothing,” Natalie Lange, owner said.

Natalie says a lot of other designers are now stepping up to help the brides in trouble, so they’ll still be able to walk down the aisle on their big day.

She also says that while her business will take a hit, she is not closing and has no plans to go anywhere.
